Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport
The airport is envisioned as Angola’s principal gateway to international destinations and a significant aviation hub for Africa. It has been designed to accommodate 15 million passengers annually and handle 130,000 metric tonnes of cargo.
In comparison, the five busiest airports in Africa manage between 7.5 and 28 million passengers each year, three of which offer direct flights from Luanda. In 2018, the older Luanda airport facilitated travel for 5.6 million passengers.
